Privacy policy

1. Controller

This policy is based on the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP/nDSG). Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, it applies as well.

2. Cookies and analytics

Fonts, scripts and images are served from our own server. Analytics and marketing tools are loaded only after you have agreed in the cookie banner. Your choice is stored in your browser (local storage) and can be changed or withdrawn at any time via Cookie settings.

• Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.; data may be transferred to Google LLC, USA): anonymous usage statistics; category Analytics; IP addresses are shortened.

Legal basis: your consent. Transfers to the USA rely on the EU-US / Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

3. Server log files

When you visit the website, our hosting provider automatically records technical data: IP address, date and time, page requested, referrer and browser type. This data is needed to deliver the website securely and is deleted after 30 days at the latest. Our hosting provider processes this data on our behalf under a data processing agreement.

4. Contact by email

If you write to us, we process your email address and the content of your message to answer your request and, if you become a member, to manage your membership. We do not pass this data on to third parties unless required by law. Correspondence is kept as long as needed for the purpose and within legal retention periods.

5. Contact form

If you use the contact form, we process your name, email address, organisation (optional), topic and message to answer your request. The form sets no cookies. To reach us quickly, the message is forwarded to a private chat of the association in the Telegram messenger (Telegram FZ-LLC, Dubai, UAE; servers may be located outside Switzerland and the EU). We delete form messages from the chat once the request has been handled, at the latest after 12 months. To prevent abuse, a pseudonymised value derived from your IP address is stored for one hour.

6. Disclosure abroad

Our hosting and email providers may process data outside Switzerland. Telegram (see section 5) is based in the UAE. Where the country has no adequate level of protection, we rely on standard contractual clauses.

7. Your rights

You may request information about your data, its correction or deletion, object to its processing and, where applicable, request data portability. Write to info@roboins.org. You may also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or a competent EU supervisory authority.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. The version published on this website applies.
